An Audience with Bob Flowerdew
December 13 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm| £12.50
We are thrilled Bob has agreed to speak at the Widcombe Garden Club this December about ‘No Work Gardening!’
A son of a Norfolk farmer, his family have been tilling the land in the Waveney Valley on the Norfolk Suffolk border since Tudor times. He is
the fifth generation to live in the village.
Bob graduated with an honours degree in financial, management and cost accountancy, however after tasting business life with a major London firm for a year he realised it wasn’t for him so he took the opportunity of doing voluntary work to travel. On his return from varied experiences he was offered a position as private gardener.
He has been a panellist for over 25 years on the prestigious BBC Radio 4’s ‘Gardener’s Question Time’; writer for Amateur Gardening; Kitchen Garden and BBC Gardeners World Magazines.
A lecturer in horticulture, he has promised to share his wisdom on ‘no work gardening’, explaining ways to reduce or eliminate unnecessary chores and grow more flowers, fruit and produce.
Limited tickets £12.50 inc a glass of mulled wine are now available via Widcombe Association Website
