Yoga Classes

Alison Born

Senior Yoga Class

Yoga classes at WSC
Tuesday @ 6pm

Due to other work commitments, I have taught one class per week since completing my teacher training at Yoga Bodhi  in Bath in 2010.  I hope to teach more in the future. My teaching is influenced by a variety of yoga styles and by the needs of the students I teach. I aim to enable all students to feel challenged and rejuvenated by the yoga we practice with improvements in posture, strength, balance, mobility and well being. I have a high number of regular attenders with a broad age range. My class takes place at Widcombe Social Club in Bath. For further details, please call me on 07702 475411.

Yoga classes at WSC
Friday @ 10am

Mindfulness is at the heart of every yoga class I teach and every Thai yoga massage treatment that I give. Making sure students feel both challenged and completely at ease is very important to me. I run classes, workshops and retreats both in the UK and abroad.

I also work privately with individuals and organisations to deliver tailor made sessions in movement and mindfulness. For example, I recently delivered a masterclass in ‘Mindfulness at Work’ for Altitude Films and I’m currently working with the charity HomeStart, delivering bimonthly online relaxation sessions for their busy parents, carers, staff and volunteers.

I’ve had the privilege to train and practise with many wonderful teachers over the years including Mary Mackie and Lesley Isaacson (500 hr Dip. The British Wheel of Yoga), Kira Balaskas (Practitioner Dip. The School of Thai Yoga Masssage) and TJ Maher (100 hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Yujmu). I’m currently undergoing a 12-month foundational teacher training program in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy with Oxford Mindfulness Centre which is part of The University of Oxford.

If you’d like to talk to me about any of my offerings, please feel free to get in touch: 07974 365670 / ruth@ruthtimmsyoga.com
