An informal and relaxed Christmas singalong with the wonderful Sasspafellas. A great way to get in the festive mood in a warm and welcoming family-friendly atmosphere.
Come along and sing with us or simply just sit, enjoy and have a merry time.
Friday 19th December Blue Zebras

The Blue Zebras return to WSC for the last Friday session before Christmas. They bring their unique mix of up-tempo blues, R&B, and rock classics, interspersed with ballads, originals, and a few jazz standards. A few seasonal favourites are also likely, along with plenty of opportunities for dancing and audience participation.
The Blue Zebras feature Widcombe resident Stephen Wright on piano & vocals, Kearin Wright on drums & vocals, and Chris Fraser on guitar & vocals.

The Strays are a 5 piece covers band that specialises in Americana music, predominantly the country/folk/blues influenced music from the deep south.
Particularly attracted to the music of bands that are renowned for their 3 part vocal harmonies, so expect music from the likes of the Eagles and Creedence Clearwater Revival to feature in tonight's programme.

A local acoustic duo, Mike and Mansel singing songs in the Everly Brothers style mixing country, Americana and original songs with tasty instrumentals.

Performing a mixture of swing standards and ballads this intimate line-up featuring Kait Vox on vocals, accompanied by piano, acoustic bass and violin promises an evening of jazz classics, with sparkling solos and lyrical improvisation.
Friday 13th February The Poorbox Brothers

The Poorbox Brothers are Marc Clements and Ben W King.
Having played with innumerable bands on the road for over 40 years (including session work with Ginger Baker, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, and Van Morrison) Marc decided to get back to basics with harmonica player, Ben, and play the music that inspired him as a teenager.
Ben has been playing guitar for over a decade, having grown up listening to all kind of blues. He picked up the harmonica in recent years and hasn’t put it down since.
Friday 20th February Johnnie Melancholy and the Sad Cowboys

Jonnie Melancholy and the Sad Cowboys bring an infectious blend of country, blues and folk, mixing classics with forgotten gems, all brought together by a love of great songs.
They are a 6 piece band with rich harmonies, playing tunes they've collected over the years, songs they love, songs they hope you'll love too. From old ballads and love songs, to their own take on foot stomping bluegrass, aiming to share the joy of music and get the bar room singing along!
Friday 27th February Four on Six

Four on Six are a ukulele & guitar duo playing a range of ragtime, jazz, American folk, Hawaiian, classical & pop classics.
